ETFs – Our Special Edge

Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) offer investors a unique investment tool. A hybrid investment between a closed-end mutual fund and a publicly traded stock, ETFs offer a way to broadly diversify, by country, industry, even sub-industry, with the control and low costs associated with stocks.

We have developed proprietary research to fundamentally analyze ETFs – a first in the industry. When one invests in a single security three prices must be known: the entry price, the exit price for a gain and the exit price for a loss. Fundamental analysis provides the information to determine these prices. To effectively invest in ETFs, the same decisions must be made. Thus the ability to analyze an ETF is pivotal.

We can then meld ETFs with individual investments; a strategy known as Core-Satellite. This strategy gives us the advantage of combining the strengths of an ETF with the additional “juice” that an individual stock can provide.

Alternative Assets – Extra Alpha

Most Investment Advisors focus their investment strategies on either equities or fixed income securities. But equities and fixed income securities only represent a portion of the investment assets at investors’ disposal.

Investments in real estate projects, private companies, and in commodities, are all reasonable alternative ways to invest when done in a suitable manner and appropriate blend. They not only may offer significant potential profits, but have low or negative correlations to each other and with equities and fixed income investments.

Combining Alternative Assets with Equities, both individual securities and ETFs and Fixed Income Securities can lead to additional returns, or alpha as it is known in the industry, while controlling investment risks.
